Smart Selling is written in a straightforward, often humorous fashion. Rosenzweig gives both the pros and cons of why salespeople succeed and fail at the art of selling. He can be blunt. For example one lesson begins, "Top ten reasons why I won't buy from you. No holds barred. I'm busy, your presentation is boring and you haven't a clue as to what turns me on, do you?" But perhaps Rosenzweig's business philosophy is best illustrated by the title of the book's lesson No. 6, "When you're too darned lazy to sell"
